All riders should supply the emergency contact numbers to their families. Contact us if you did not receive those emails. We have a satellite phone for emergency contacts when we are out of mobile phone range. Families need to be aware that charges are very high - but an emergency is an emergency. This will be turned off when we are in mobile range but when out of range we will turn it on during the day while on the road and then have it on in the evening between 6 pm & 7 pm.
Mobile numbers have also been provided - there are two. Tell the family it is best to text a message so that we get it as soon as we are back in range. We should have mobile coverage at all towns and 5 to 10 Kms either side of the towns.
